Description:
History museum
The Tijuana Wax Museum was inaugurated on February 5, 1993, opening its doors to the Tijuana public and to the whole world, exhibiting a collection of 45 wax figures, currently we have 93 figures, which our goal is to have 100 figures coming soon. Among them are important figures of our country, characters of legends and horror, as well as national and international artists. The Tijuana Wax Museum, at that time, was considered the second of its kind in all of Latin America. Now there are 5 wax museums in Mexico. We also have 9 thematic exhibition rooms that are Pre-Hispanic Era of Mexico, Missionary Period of Baja California and History of Tijuana, Legends and Histories, Heroes of Mexico, Statesmen, National and International Artists and Terror. It shows scenography and scenic art in the 9 rooms and comes to be considered a cultural space where history can be appreciated, as well as the famous characters of the show. In our museum there are Ramón Ayala, Pedro Infante, Lola Beltrán, Luis Miguel, Michael Jackson, Cantinflas, Hernán Cortés, Cuauhtémoc, Moctezuma, Venustiano Carranza, Porfirio Díaz, Emiliano Zapata, Miguel Hidalgo, as well as Gandhi, Juan Pablo II, J.F. Kennedy, Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley and many more ... There is no need for a corner to be scared in a dungeon, in the dark, you will find classic horror characters like Dracula, Freddy Krueger and the Werewolf. The Tijuana Wax Museum is located at Calle Primera No. 8281 between Av. Revolución and Av. Madero, Zona Centro, C.P. 22000. Telephone (664) 688 2478.
