Permanent Program. Iris and Ariel are teenage twins who live with their mother on a rocky island isolated from the continent. They have grown up in a fraternal relationship that surpasses the limits of common intimacy and with a transcendental bond with nature. After the abrupt absence of her mother and moved by a strong need to separate from her brother, Iris decides to go to the city alone. With few dialogues and a photography that highlights the beauty of nature, The Octopus Skin is a coming of age film about desire, curiosity and the contrasts between society and the natural world.
