Ablution. Washing away what some don't want to see. Removing what doesn't belong. The displacement of lives, thoughts, dreams, bodies. Bodies that are the same and different. Occupied and emptied spaces. Loss. Ablution has to do with belonging and resistance. Clean my skin color? My identity? My religion? My convictions, traditions? No. Better to clean all the dirty things that happen in this world. Ablution is a reflection on our right to exist, the power of resistance, and the question Where do I belong?...
