Violet Drive, the band’s newest album, is a 12-song sound journey that encapsulates the band’s psychedelic and onyric style. With experimental sounds ranging from tribal to electronic, this record stands out as one of the riskiest from Kerala Dust. These elements are a defining force behind the band, whose music combines blues and American music mixed
excitingly with nontraditional electronic beats. Kerala Dust was formed from a growing love for electronic music, blended with a history in independent bands. Producer and instrumentalist Edmund Kenny founded the band at a time when making electronic music on a laptop seemed like the best way to achieve the sounds I heard in my head.
