Description

Paula Prieto is a singer-songwriter who currently resides in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Although she is American by birth, her family roots are Argentine as well as her heart.

With a soft voice that captivates and a passion for music that transcends borders, Paula has established herself as an emerging figure in the Latin American indie music scene. Inspired by the warmth of the American West Coast and the frenzy of the city of Buenos Aires, Prieto has been building her own musical identity with different pieces, marked by both musical cultures: from southern folk ballads to rock from La Plata and alternative pop. Her compositions are nourished by the sensitivity and sweetness of her voice that, in a confessional tone, narrate a compendium of sincere and profound reflections.

Her latest EP, "esto es para mi" moves the soul of her listeners, thanks to singles such as "Lo que elegiste" and "Yo nunca sé nada de ti". Driven by her passion for storytelling and her love for the guitar, she is currently preparing for her next musical adventure "Temporal LP" (release 2025) a mixture of folk, rock, and alternative indie elements in a single work. Her sound includes everyday sounds, street noises, and striking interruptions that make listening to her a close and warm experience in equal parts. Acoustic guitars, delicate harmonies, and a detailed contemplation of the world around her make up this first, concise but powerful work.
In 2022, she opened Ed Maverick's concerts in the USA. In 2024, she performed with the Mexican artist Bratty on her tour of the USA and shared a show with the Portuguese singer-songwriter MARO at the Cantoral in Mexico City.
She will perform in Mexico City with an intimate, acoustic concert.
