DEPEDRO is the musical project of Jairo Zavala, started in 2008 with the album “Depedro” recorded with the American band CALEXICO in Tucson Arizona, a collaboration that has been mutual during many of the albums of both artists, forming part of the American band for more than 10 years as a guitarist and co-author of some songs.
Since then until today the cross-border project DEPEDRO has poured musical, aesthetic and cultural influences from Latin America, Africa, the Mediterranean or the United States into a musical career that reaches eight LPs and several EPS, as well as the documentaries “Casamance” in Senegal and “Fanantenana” in Madagascar.
His music has taken him to the five continents, tours throughout the American continent, the United States, Mexico, Argentina, Central America, Brazil, Australia and New Zealand, China, Africa, all of Europe,
His albums have been published in more than 30 countries. His collaborations are with musicians from all over the world in different languages and from many cultures, one of the hallmarks of the artist's identity.
