The Morelia International Film Festival (FICM) presents Cinema for All 2024, a program of free screenings, in community exhibition spaces, of contemporary and classic Mexican films that have marked the history of national cinema.

In this fifth edition, we are proud to present a carefully curated selection, in conjunction with the programmers of the exhibition spaces, of 32 titles, which includes documentaries, animations, fictions, premieres and classics of Mexican cinema. From intimate narrative to the exploration of social and cultural themes, each film offers a unique experience that reflects the richness and diversity of contemporary Mexican cinematography.

Emilia, a housewife overwhelmed by the mediocrity of her life, by her failed husband and by her overwhelming and poorly managed motherhood, feels that the cup of life is spilling over. On the same day, the same damned day that her distant lover leaves her, the credit card, with which she has played cat and mouse for months, is seized. In front of her empty and desolate apartment, the woman decides to make that long-cherished decision, suicide. Curiously, her death brings the cuckold husband and the elusive lover closer together. Life, without a doubt, is a constant paradox.
