Description
"Los Folkloristas are celebrating 58 years of uninterrupted work of musical research of cultural expressions and rescue of the folkloric roots of Mexico and Latin America; incorporating this knowledge into their repertoire and spreading the richness of their folk music both in Mexico and in other countries.
The group Los Folkloristas presents in their concerts of approximately one and a half hours a program with varied musical examples, popular and traditional from Mexico and other Latin American countries. The concert takes a tour of themes from the folklore of Bolivia, Chile, Venezuela, Peru, Panama, Cuba, Ecuador, Colombia and Mexico, among others.
They include themes from their historical repertoire such as "Tierra Mestiza" by the composer Gerardo Tamez and will include themes from their most recent production "Cantando con la muerte", as well as new repertoire. In the concert Los Folkloristas play more than 65 instruments to exemplify each one of the genres of each country, respecting the typical instruments with which they are played in each region and which have been acquired throughout his career. Between each piece, an explanation is given of the genre played and the instrumentation."
